A weekend spent camping at the Bendeela Camping Ground in Kangaroo Valley offered the opportunity to point my Meyer-Optik 300mm 1:4.5 lens at a few of the very tame local animals. Whilst not the sharpest of lenses I am very pleased with its performance. Wide open it can produce some very pleasant images.
The lense is adapted to my 7D via a Pentax M42 to Canon EF adapter which doesn’t quite seem to hit infinite focus (I had hoped to get some moon shots). In any case, for more terrestrial subjects, I am very pleased with this 40+ (?) year old lens.
nice pic.
Thank you.
